MQ Mental Health Research
What it does
MQ Mental Health Research fund international research projects on mental health conditions, with the aim of creating a world where mental illness is understood, effectively treated and ultimately prevented.
What we fund
We are supporting MQ, in partnership with NIHR and the University of Manchester, to develop and plan the national rollout of a digital referral tool for Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). The tool is designed for use by parents, GPs and schools to improve the quality of referrals, provide greater transparency for families, reduce rejected referrals, and signpost children to appropriate alternative support while they wait.
MQ has been at the forefront of what we call ‘Data Science’, using big data, to understand specifically mental health challenges. And I’m really excited about what that’s going to realise.
