Our impact

Comics Youth CIC

Comics Youth is a Liverpool based, arts social prescribing organisation delivering comics-based literacy, publishing and wellbeing projects to children and young people who face marginalisation.

What it does

Comics Youth works with children and young people to support their wellbeing through creative, comics based programmes. Its work combines arts, storytelling and autobiography to help young people explore difficult experiences, express emotions and make sense of their mental health in supportive, non clinical settings.

What we fund

Our funding supports Comics Youth to deliver arts programmes that support young people experiencing mental health difficulties. These programmes provide a creative route into support for young people who may not engage with traditional services.

Comics Youth

Through Turn the Page, and with the incredible support of The Prudence Trust, we’ve been able to reach young people who often feel like outsiders – using comics as a therapeutic tool to explore identity, process mental health challenges, and rewrite their own stories on their own terms.
