Our impact

Place2Be

Place2Be is a UK wide children’s mental health charity providing school based mental health services and counselling.

Place2Be

What it does

Place2Be delivers evidence based therapeutic support in schools through a whole school approach, including one to one counselling, group sessions and lunchtime drop ins for students. It also supports teachers and parents to better understand and respond to children and young people’s wellbeing.

What we fund

We fund Place2Be to work with Multi Academy Trusts – groups of schools that are run together under one organisation – to improve how schools support children’s mental health. This includes helping trusts understand what support is already in place across their schools, training leaders and staff, and putting approaches in place that can be used consistently. Place2Be also helps build better evidence about what works across a whole trust.

Place2Be is a children’s mental health charity
The benefit of working with Place2Be is that they truly become part of the school community, helping school leaders think about their whole school ethos and pastoral provision through a mental health lens. This is important when considering the link between safety, wellbeing, belonging and educational outcomes. Through this partnership, we aim to support all schools across the network to become mentally healthy schools by reducing mental health stigma and equipping all staff and students with the knowledge, language and strategies they can use to support themselves and one another.
