IntoUniversity
IntoUniversity run 34 local learning centres across the UK where young people are inspired to achieve their potential.
What they do
At each local centre, they provide after-school academic support, mentoring and specialist programmes that help young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to attain either a university place or another chosen aspiration.
Why we work with them
We are interested in how life chances can be improved through extra-curricular activities and are impressed by the positive impact IntoUniversity’s services has on young people’s achievements, but also on their confidence and self-esteem. The importance IntoUniversity places on evaluating their programmes and understanding their impact gives us confidence in their work.
IntoUniversity has helped me by helping me learn what university is like and what courses there are, such as Engineering. They give me different tasks and I have the chance to ask questions and get answers. It has helped me get better at teamwork and talking with others.
