Our impact

Centre for Young Lives

The Centre for Young Lives is an independent research, advocacy and innovation centre founded by Baroness Anne Longfield CBE, former Children’s Commissioner for England, focused on improving the lives of children, young people and families.

Centre for Young Lives

What it does

The Centre for Young Lives develops and champions evidence‑led policy solutions to improve outcomes for children and young people, combining research, local system innovation and national influencing to promote approaches that support a mentally healthy childhood.

What we fund

Our funding has contributed to the establishment of The Centre for Young Lives and its Growing Up Well programme, which brings together research, local strategic development and national policy influencing. We have also supported the Centre for Young Lives, alongside partners including the Centre for Mental Health, the Coalition for Children and Young People’s Mental Health, and YoungMinds, to deliver the Future Minds campaign – calling for greater policy prioritisation of youth mental health and setting out evidence‑informed solutions for system reform.

Centre for Young Lives

With the support of the Trust we have been able to test, establish, and commence evaluation of our trailblazer Growing Up Well model within Humber and North Yorkshire region, with a view to wider national replication.
